GO TELL IT ON THE MOUNTAIN (Traditional)

Go and tell it, tell it on the mountain
Go and tell it, tell it on the mountain
Go and tell it, tell it on the mountain
Jesus Christ is born

Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born

When I was a seeker, I sought both night and day
I asked the Lord to help me and He showed me the way
I say, "Hey, way back in Bethlehem
Shepherds were a-tremblin'
Watchin' over their flocks by night
They were lookin' up high into the heavens
And they saw a holy light and they said,
"Hey let's...

Go tell it on the mountain over the hills and everywhere
Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born"

MARY HAD A BABY/THE GOSPEL TRAIN (Traditional)

Mary had a baby, yes Lord
Mary had a baby, yes my Lord
Mary had a baby, yes Lord
People keep a-comin' and the train done gone

Get on board little children, get on board little children
Get on board little children, there's room for many a more

Star keep a shinin', yes Lord
Star keep a shinin', yes my Lord
Movin' in the elements, yes Lord
People keep a-comin' and the train done gone

Get on board little children, get on board little children
Get on board little children, there's room for many a more

Where did she lay Him, my Lord?
Where did she lay Him, my Lord?
Laid Him in a manger, yes Lord
People keep a-comin' and the train done gone

Get on board little children....

What did she name Him, my Lord?
What did she name Him, my Lord?
I think she called Him Jesus, Yes Lord!
People keep a-comin' and the train done gone

Little children, get on board little children
Get on board little children, there's room for many a more
Don't miss the Christmas train
It's comin' round again
Don't miss the Christmas train, there's room for many a more
Get on board little children, get on board little children
Get on board little children, there's room for many a more

PATAPAN (Traditional)

Willie take your little drum, Robin take your fife and come
Let us play that fife and drum
Turaluralu, patapatapan
Let us play that fife and drum
Celebrate this Christmas morn

Fa la la la la la la....

People in the days of yore, did the King of kings adore
While your instruments you play
Turaluralu, patapatapan
While your instruments you play
We must do the same today

Fa la la la la la la....

God and man are now as one even more than fife and drum
Let us play that fife and drum
Turaluralu, patapatapan
Let us play that fife and drum
Celebrate this Christmas morn

Fa la la la la la la...

JINGLE BELLS (Traditional)

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh hey
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way
Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh

STAR OF THE SHOW (Rich/Socan 2005)

Tomorrow is the night of the Christmas play
Everyone's invited to come
'Cause everybody's kids'll be in the play
Join us for an evening of fun

There'll be shepherds with bathrobes on
Camel costumes, lights and songs
Little wise men in cardboard crowns
But when Mary brings the baby on

He'll be the star of the show 'cause the baby is always the star
He'll be the star of the show 'cause the baby is always the star

Jesus has been born in Bethlehem
The angel is rehearsing to say, hey
But no one's really sure what will happen when
They place a real baby right there in the hay

And his mom hopes he won't cry
And that he'll stay nice and dry
And that he'll sleep right through the play
But it doesn't matter anyway

He'll be the star of the show 'cause the baby is always the star...

Shine shine shine little baby
Shine shine shine little Jesus
Hush-a-bye, hush-a-bye

HURON CAROL (Traditional)

Jesus your King is born, Jesus is born
In Excelsis Gloria

Kneel before the infant boy
Who brings you beauty, peace and joy

Jesus your King is born, Jesus is born
In Excelsis Gloria

THE COLOURS OF CHRISTMAS (Rich/Socan 2005)

The colours of Christmas, red, green and silver
They light up the winter bringing us cheer
They warm up December, they help us remember
The colours remind us Christmas is here

Red are the berries, stars made of Silver
Green is the colour of my Christmas tree
Orange is the fire glow, White is the deep snow
Gold is the treasure of my family

The colours of Christmas, red, green and silver
They light up the winter, just once a year
And I love the laughter each time we gather
The colours remind us Christmas is here

Red are the berries...

The colours of Christmas, red, green and silver
They light up the winter, just once a year
They warm up December, they help us remember
The colours remind us Christmas is here

CALYPSO NOEL(Krunnfusz/Shawnee Press Inc.)

Sing we Noel, sing we joyously Noel
Joyously sing of the news we have to tell

Born to us in the little village of Bethlehem on this day
Is the Christ child, so pure and holy
He's sleeping there in the hay

Sing we Noel, sing we joyously Noel
Joyously sing of the news we have to tell

Poor little baby, no other place was found
Except in a manger with cows and sheep around

So the angels sang out and they had a party just for the Babe
Music played while the palm trees swayed
As they danced the evening away

Sing Noel, Sing Noel, Sing Noel!

SILENT NIGHT (Traditional)

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin, mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

THE HEAVENS ARE TELLING (Rich/Socan 1995)

The heavens are telling the glories of God
They speak of His majesty, they sing of His love
In the lightning, in the thunder
In a billion stars burning bright
Are the words of His splendor for the songs of His might

Day after day, through sunlight and shadow
Night after night in fiery glory
Pictures are painted on the heavens
In the sky is God's love story

In the deep blue over Bethlehem something sparkles in the night
It's a lone star doing cartwheels as a new baby cries
And then suddenly there are angels
Stars and planets sing a song
It's a message for the whole world
God is sending His son

Day after day...

God loves you, God loves you
God loves you, God loves you

Day after day...

WE THREE KINGS (Traditional)

We three kings of orient are
Bearing gifts we travel so far
Field and fountain, moor and mountain
Following yonder star

Star of wonder, star of light
Star with royal beauty bright
Westward leading, still proceeding
Guide us to the perfect light
Guide us to the perfect light

Reading

Star of wonder, star of light...

ANGEL IN THE CHRISTMAS PLAY (Rich/Socan 2005)

She's a small, small girl in a white, white dress
She's the angel, Christmas angel
Got a crooked halo upon her head
She's the angel, Christmas angel

Tonight it's Christmas Eve
She's waited for this day
She's gonna be the angel in the Christmas play

Well, she got the part 'cause she's always talking
She's the angel, Christmas angel
With her white, white dress, she wears bright red stockings
She's the angel, Christmas angel

Tonight it's Christmas Eve
She's waited for this day
She's gonna be the angel in the Christmas play

She memorized her lines, she knows them off by heart
And now the church is waiting for the play to start
She steps out on the stage, the spotlight's just on her
Oh no! She can't recall one single word

She's a small, small girl in a white, white dress
Come on angel, you can do it angel
And now the whole church prays as she takes a breath
Come on angel, you can do it angel

And now it all comes back, she says,
"I've got good news, don't be afraid
I am the angel in the Christmas play
Oh, and by the way,
Jesus Christ is born today."

LOST ON A CHRISTMAS TREE FARM (Rich/Socan 2005)

I'd like to tell you story, a Christmas memory
It happened when Joel was six years old and Timmy was only three
It was the night before Christmas
We traveled to a tree farm
But just as we cut down our tree
We noticed with alarm
That we were

Lost on a Christmas tree farm
Lost on a Christmas tree farm
Don't cut your Christmas tree down after dark
You'll get lost on a Christmas tree farm

The sun went down in the evening
The exit was nowhere in sight
The trees were all over six feet tall
We were nowhere near that height
We walked in circles for hours
Dragging our evergreen fir
When Timmy, the three year old, piped right up
He knew where we were
He said we were

Lost on a Christmas tree farm....

Were we hallucinating? Did we hear a reindeer sleigh?
And was that really Santa Claus who had come to save the day?
His sack was bursting with presents
He was a jolly old elf
He said, "I gotta fly, it's Christmas time
Find your way back by yourself."
And we were still

Lost on a Christmas tree farm...

This tale has a happy ending
We learned a lesson you know
If you walk in the right direction
You'll eventually find your way home
And home is filled with "Rich" blessings
We could not ask for more
But when we get a tree as a family
We buy it at a store
'Cause we got

Lost on a Christmas tree farm...

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS INSTEAD OF SHEEP (Berlin/Irving Berlin Music Co.)

If I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

I think about a nursery and I picture golden heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds

If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
