Welcome

I had a feeling you'd be popping by, so I ran around and tidied up the house. Except for this one room.

Open the door to my studio, and you'll find Holy chaos in here. I love the tangle of cords connecting microphones to amplifiers to speakers. Sound waves pulse on a computer screen. There's nothing more blissful than a crowded room where I can stash all my creative gear: A purple tambourine sits on top of a djembe, next to a dollar store ukulele.  Under my desk are piles of percolating words on paper: lyrics, sermon notes, and drafts of a play I'm re-writing. "Bluebirds." Out of the mess comes songs and stories.

So, join me as I connect the squiggly lines on my map of creative adventure. Read a poem. Take a listen to sound bytes from thirty-six years ago, when I first ventured out as a Gospel music recording artist. (Cautionary vinyl). You can even snicker at my awkward, retro album covers. I won't mind.

Here's what I'm currently working on in my studio:
