Eclectic Christmas music for kids from 1 to 92. Featuring Nick Bradbury on "We Three Kings." My kids appear as the grown-up Rich Von Family Singers, on "Lost on a Christmas Tree Farm." (Based on a true story about the time our family went to buy a Christmas tree, and we were all too short to see over the tops of the evergreens).

"House on Hope Street"

This was my first, experimental batch of songs for children, complete with tape hiss. Recorded, using a funky Casio keyboard and a 4-track reel-to-reel. We didn't have our garage/studio set up yet, so we taped the songs in the upstairs bedroom of our house. 1995 was the year eleven year old Tim got his first, addictive taste of music producing. I convinced him to do snappy patter in between tracks, for which he may never forgive me.

"The Sidekicks"

For a couple of years, Suzy Gemmell and I were the children's music duo, "The Sidekicks," or "Two Checks" & "Shifflebang."  Suzy played her ukulele and harmonica, and I lugged along my traveling keyboard.  We had a lot of fun singing together and telling stories.  Unfortunately, I don't have a recording of our performances for kids, but you can buy Suzy's grown up album on CD Baby.  She is mega talented:
